In his SOLO project, Argentine composer and multi-instrumentalist Joaquín Alem takes the stage in his most intimate and purest form. Through concerts conceptualized for solo bandoneon, solo guitar, or a seamless combination of both, Alem showcases his artistic maturity shaped by nearly 30 years of international career.
The repertoire for this project breaks traditional boundaries. On the solo bandoneon, he explores complex and innovative polyphonic textures—such as his acclaimed BACH-ianos program, inspired by the works of Johann Sebastian Bach—while on the guitar, he traverses the expressive richness of Argentine and contemporary music. A sonic journey of virtuosity and profound melancholy, proving that a single musician can command and completely fill a grand stage.
